Sara Barozzi obtained her Master’s degree in Biological Sciences with a focus on molecular biology in 2000. She began her research career in Pier Giuseppe Pelicci’s lab, studying the interaction between p66SHC and p53 and their role in mitochondrial activity.
With a long-standing interest in microscopy, she joined the Imaging Facility at IEO in 2004 and then moved to IFOM’s Advanced Light Microscopy Unit in 2014.
Sara has extensive experience in sample preparation and live-cell imaging, providing comprehensive support to researchers throughout all stages of imaging experiments—from planning to acquisition. She is skilled in a range of advanced microscopy techniques used in cancer research and is also responsible for the microinjection service.
