On Wednesday the 9th May 2012 the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) announced the election of the IFOM researcher Fabrizio d'Adda di Fagagna to its membership, among the 55 newly appointed "leading life scientists". EMBO elects leading scientists annually as EMBO Members based on proven excellence in research. With his election, Fabrizio d'Adda di Fagagna - Principal Investigator of the research group Telomeres and cellular senescence at IFOM - figures among the top 1550 life scientists from the international scientific community, joining the 96 EMBO italian scientists based in Italy and the 7 other IFOM-IEO Campus scientists: Bruno Amati (IEO), Francesco Blasi (IFOM), Elisabetta Dejana (IFOM), Pier Paolo Di Fiore (IFOM), Marco Foiani (IFOM), Pier Giuseppe Pelicci (IEO), Maria Rescigno (IEO).
