Zeno Lavagnino
Tecnico
Zeno Lavagnino ha conseguito la laurea in Fisica presso l’Università di Genova nel 2010.
Ha iniziato a occuparsi di microscopia ottica durante il dottorato nel laboratorio di Alberto Diaspro all’Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, dove ha sviluppato microscopi che combinano imaging a singola molecola, eccitazione a due fotoni e illuminazione light-sheet.
L'interesse per la biofisica lo ha portato a un postdoc nel laboratorio di David Piston alla Washington University di St. Louis, dove ha costruito e ottimizzato un microscopio light-sheet spettrale per lo studio delle isole pancreatiche.
Nel 2018 ha ottenuto una Marie Curie Fellowship per rientrare in Italia, nel laboratorio di Davide Mazza all'Ospedale San Raffaele, integrando tecniche di light-sheet a singolo obiettivo, tracciamento di singole molecole e illuminazione strutturata.
Dal 2021 fa parte della IFOM Advanced Light Microscopy Facility, dove applica tecniche avanzate di microscopia alla ricerca sul cancro.
